Karachi: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) has taken a significant step in enhancing its affiliation process through a targeted training session for affiliated colleges across Pakistan. The event, held on July 16, 2025, at the Atta ur Rehman Hall in Karachi, aimed to streamline procedures and foster future initiatives.
The session, conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, brought together focal persons from various affiliated colleges. It was led by Dr. Sajid Jahangir, Deputy Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell for Affiliated Colleges, alongside Dr. Abdul Majeed Khan, Convener of the Affiliation Committee, and Mr. Kamran, Office Superintendent.
The training provided participants with detailed insights into FUUAST’s affiliation requirements, the relevant legal frameworks, and the practical activities necessary for creating a supportive environment for students. Following the training, an engaging discussion was held to address future initiatives for affiliated colleges.
Key topics of the session included plans for organizing convocations specifically for graduates of affiliated colleges, strategies for job fairs to connect students with employment opportunities, and the potential for a Research Projects Expo to showcase innovations from students and faculty to the business community.
“This training session marks a significant step forward in our commitment to quality education and administrative excellence,” stated Dr. Sajid Jahangir. By empowering affiliated colleges with a clear understanding of the affiliation process, the session aimed to create a robust ecosystem for students nationwide.
