Mike Hesson Appointed as Pakistan’s White-Ball Head Coach

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the appointment of Mike Hesson as the new white-ball head coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, effective May 26, 2025. Hesson, a seasoned coach with international experience, fills a position that became vacant following the team’s tour of New Zealand in April.

The PCB selected Hesson after evaluating numerous applications for the role. His extensive coaching background includes previous stints leading the New Zealand and Kenya national teams. Currently, Hesson serves as the head coach of Islamabad United, the defending champions of the HBL Pakistan Super League.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his enthusiasm for Hesson’s appointment, highlighting the expertise and leadership he brings to the team. Naqvi emphasized Hesson’s successful track record in developing competitive sides and welcomed him to the Pakistan cricket family.
