Pakistan Urged to Address Internal Issues Amid External Defense Readiness

KARACHI: Altaf Shakoor, Chairman of the Pasban Democratic Party (PDP), emphasized the need for Pakistan to focus on resolving its internal deficiencies even as it maintains robust preparations against external threats. Speaking on Sunday, Shakoor underscored the importance of addressing domestic challenges to ensure national stability.

He criticized India for blaming Pakistan following what he termed a “false flag operation” in Pahalgam, asserting that such accusations are baseless. Shakoor highlighted Pakistan’s successful missile tests as evidence of its strong defensive capabilities and suggested that internal cohesion is vital for national security.

Shakoor also called for challenging India’s position on the Indus Water Treaty in international forums and urged the revocation of the Simla Agreement. He expressed solidarity with Kashmiri freedom fighters, criticizing India’s continued military presence in the region.

Addressing concerns about India’s alleged interference in Balochistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shakoor urged Pakistani authorities to take decisive action against elements fostering unrest. He warned against internal conspiracies aimed at creating division among provinces and stressed the importance of dialogue and mutual respect in resolving domestic issues.

Shakoor concluded by reaffirming the nation’s support for its armed forces, cautioning that any aggressive moves by India would be firmly countered.
