Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s Women Empowerment Committee recently organized the “Khawateen Mushaira,” a poetry event dedicated to female voices, at the Haseena Moin Hall, Ahmed Shah Building. The gathering was presided over by Dr. Fatima Hassan, a renowned poet, and moderated by Dr. Huma Mir.
Prominent figures in the literary world attended the event, including Chand Gul Shah, Chairperson of the Women Empowerment Committee. Esteemed poets such as Durr e Shehwar Nisar and Kausar Naseem were also present. The event featured performances by distinguished female poets like Kausar Jafri, Rehana Roohi, Naseem Nazish, Saadia Hareem, and others.
The poets captivated the audience with their work, receiving warm appreciation for their contributions. Chand Gul Shah expressed her delight at the event, highlighting the active participation of women in various fields. She emphasized the committee’s commitment to continue promoting women’s voices through such initiatives.
