Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi organized the launch of Naeem Sameer’s poetry collection “Rhythm” at Haseena Moin Hall. The event featured prominent literary figures including Professor Sahar Ansari and Dr. Salman Sarwat.
According to a statement by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the launch was presided over by Professor Sahar Ansari, who described Naeem Sameer’s work as a unique blend of tradition and innovation in Ghazal poetry. Professor Ansari praised Sameer’s ability to infuse poetry with musicality and rhythm, emphasizing that it offers an aesthetic experience rather than just a literary skill.
Ambreen Haseeb Amber commended Sameer for his modern approach, highlighting the linguistic innovation in his use of English words. She noted that “Rhythm” reflects a transition from tradition to modernity, capturing the sentiments of the new generation through a blend of music and poetry.
Khalid Moin remarked on Sameer’s appeal to younger readers, citing his integration of modern technology references in simple language. He expressed that Sameer’s work adds freshness to Ghazal poetry and deserves wider recognition for its excellence.
Fahim Shanas Kazmi referred to Sameer as a poet whose words resonate with readers’ hearts and minds. He appreciated Sameer’s ability to translate consciousness and thought into compelling poetry.
Naeem Sameer expressed gratitude to the Arts Council for the event, acknowledging the support of his wife in his creative process. He explained that the title “Rhythm” was chosen to encapsulate the essence of his poetry, which combines elements of rhythm and melody.
