Renowned Violinist Ustad Raees Ahmed Khan Honored by Punjab Arts Council

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Arts Council held a grand event, titled Itiraf-e-fun, to honor the internationally recognized violinist Ustad Raees Ahmed Khan for his more than 40 years of contributions to music. The event aimed to pay tribute to Khan’s significant impact on the music industry.

According to a statement by Punjab Arts Council, the ceremony featured notable speakers including Dr. Fauzia Saeed, Professor Shahbaz Ali, Hasan Abbas Raza, Khalid Siddiqui, and Dr. Seema, who spoke about Khan’s achievements and influence. Ustad Raees Ahmed Khan has been honored with prestigious national awards such as the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, and Hilal-i-Imtiaz, acknowledging his remarkable talent.

Special guest Chairman Senate Advisor Yahya Hussain Shah praised the initiative of honoring artists during their lifetime, attributing this to the efforts of the Punjab Arts Council. He highlighted that such recognition is crucial for celebrating legendary figures and fostering enthusiasm in the field of music.

Sajjad Hussain, Director of the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi, noted that Khan’s unique blend of Eastern and Western melodies distinguishes his art. Khan has introduced Pakistan’s culture and music to the international stage, captivating audiences worldwide with his performances. His role as a mentor to young musicians was also emphasized, marking him as an exemplary figure for aspiring artists.
