Forman Christian College Welcomes New Students Amid Record Applications and Expanded Facilities

Lahore: Forman Christian College (FCC) is experiencing a significant influx of new students this Fall, with record-level applications for several academic departments. The departments of Computer Science, Business, and Mass Communication are particularly popular, with Psychology and English also attracting a high number of graduate-level applications, making admissions in these areas more competitive than usual.

According to Forman Christian College, the Fall semester also highlights a continuing challenge with hostel space, as demand far exceeds supply. To address this, a newly renovated hostel with 85 beds on the nearby TSA/FCCU campus is set to open this Fall, providing additional space for female university students. This facility, along with a smaller hostel for female graduate students that opened last year, adds an additional 100 beds for female students. The TSA/FCCU campus is noted for its “garden campus” with ample green space.

The entering classes are also seeing representation from communities across the country, including new college students from Afghanistan and Bachelor’s students from the remote Kalash valley in Chitral. The number of students in the entering intermediate class exceeds 2,000, while the incoming Bachelor’s class has over 1,000 students.
