Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially refuted recent media reports suggesting possible rescheduling of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to security concerns. The board affirmed the event’s dates and preparations are on track.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the confusion arose from misinterpretations of PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi’s remarks during a recent media interaction. The PCB emphasized that Naqvi’s comments were incorrectly reported, leading to unwarranted speculation about the event’s scheduling. The PCB clarified that while some domestic matches might be relocated to accommodate ongoing construction, the Champions Trophy schedule remains unchanged. The tournament is set to take place from February 19 to March 9, 2025, at three iconic venues in Pakistan.

The PCB reiterated its commitment to completing the necessary stadium upgrades on time and hosting a world-class cricketing event, underscoring the importance of the Champions Trophy as a premier international competition involving eight teams.
