Pakistan Adjusts Test Squad Due to Injury; Aamir Jamal Ruled Out for Bangladesh Series

Lahore: Pakistan’s cricket team has made a significant change to their squad for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, releasing fast bowler Aamir Jamal due to a back injury sustained earlier in the year.

According to International Cricket Council, Jamal, who was injured while playing county cricket in England, failed to pass a fitness test and has been sent to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore for further rehabilitation. This adjustment leaves the Pakistan squad with 14 players as they prepare to start the series on Wednesday.

The team will rely on an all-pace attack featuring Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, along with Khurram Shehzad and Mir Hamza, as they aim to improve their standings in the World Test Championship. Pakistan is currently in sixth place and seeking a strong performance against Bangladesh to contend for a spot in the next year’s final at Lord’s.
