Karachi: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a full array of activities including flag hoisting, a cake-cutting ceremony, and a tree plantation drive, reflecting a strong commitment to national pride and environmental sustainability.
According to Institute of Business Management, the event saw the participation of IoBM’s senior leadership such as Mr. Talib Karim, President; Ms. Sabina Mohsin, Vice President, Foundation for Higher Education (FHE) and Chief Advisor; along with Deans and Heads of Departments. The ceremony featured a guards’ march past, the hoisting of the national flag by Mr. Karim and Ms. Mohsin, and the national anthem, which resonated throughout the campus.
The celebration was not just about national pride but also focused on community service and sustainability. The leadership participated in a tree plantation drive and inaugurated the “Wall of Kindness,” a community project aimed at supporting the less privileged with donations of books, clothing, and other items.
The day was filled with activities for families, including face painting and a jumping castle for children, culminating in a traditional Pakistani breakfast. This comprehensive celebration, organized by multiple departments, underscored IoBM’s dedication to fostering a sense of community and commitment to the nation’s progress.
