Islamabad: A significant gathering took place in Jamia Al-Murtaza to honor the legacy of Hazrat Sakina bint Al Hussain (AS), with thousands of women in attendance. This event, organized to pay tribute to her sacrifices and the pivotal role of women in the historical narrative of Karbala, highlighted her enduring influence as a symbol of purity and resilience against oppression.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the prayer meeting was conducted under the auspices of Mu-Binin WIF, Girls Guide, Sakina Generation, and Anjuman Dukhtar Islam at the Central Imam Barakah of Jamiat Al-Murtaza Ji Nine Four Islamabad. During the Majlis, Sayeda Zainab Alawiya, head of the Preservation Society, emphasized the profound impact of Hazrat Sakina’s character and the lessons it holds for contemporary struggles, particularly in empowering women and promoting truth in adversity.
The event also included the symbolic removal of the coffin of Shahzad Sakina, underscoring the deep historical and emotional connection with the sacrifices made at Karbala. The ceremony served as a reminder of the strength found in adhering to the path of Hussain for achieving success and truth in both this world and the hereafter.
