Lahore: Information Technology University (ITU) of the Punjab has scheduled a public PhD defense for Javed Iqbal, set to take place on August 21, 2024. The event will focus on Iqbal’s research in the field of semantic segmentation, a critical area in computer vision.

According to Information Technology University, the defense will occur at LT-1 (Level-6) in the Arfa Software Technology Park. Javed Iqbal’s dissertation is titled “Domain Adaptation for Semantic Segmentation,” and is supervised by Dr. Mohsen Ali, with Prof. Dr. Rehan Hafiz serving as co-supervisor. Those interested in attending must register by August 20, 2024, to ensure entry into the venue.
