Ph.D. Candidate Sadia Khawar to Present Thesis on Perovskite Scintillators at University of the Punjab

Lahore: The University of the Punjab’s Centre for High Energy Physics will host the public defense and viva voce examination of Ph.D. scholar Ms. Sadia Khawar on August 9, 2024. Ms. Khawar’s dissertation focuses on the “Study of Optical and Electronic Characteristics of Double Perovskite Scintillators used in Particle Detectors.”

According to University of the Punjab, the event will take place at 2:30 PM in the Seminar Room of the Centre for High Energy Physics. Ms. Khawar’s research contributes significant insights into particle detection technologies, which could have wide-ranging applications in scientific research and industry. The defense will be attended by Dr. Muhammad Arshad Kamran and Dr. Muhammad Waqas Iqbal, who will serve as external examiners. Faculty members, graduate students, and other interested parties are encouraged to attend and engage with the findings of this pivotal research.
