Bahawalpur: The Department of English Linguistics at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is set to hold public defenses for PhD candidates Ms. Aisha Ilyas and Ms. Anum Hanif. The event is scheduled for August 8, 2024, at 1:30 PM in the video conference room of the Khawaja Ghulam Farid Auditorium at the Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus.

According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, the defenses will feature the culmination of research efforts by the two scholars under the guidance of Dr. Tahira Asgher, Associate Professor in the Department of English Linguistics. Evaluations will be conducted by notable external examiners including Dr. Asma Kashif Shahzad, Associate Professor and former Head of the Department of Humanities at COMSATS University Islamabad, Vehari Campus, and Dr. Muhammad Asif, Chairman of the Department of English at Ghazi University in Dera Ghazi Khan.
