National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council Reviews Poonch University Programs

Rawalakot: Poonch University’s Faculty of Agriculture is currently undergoing a comprehensive review by the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council. The inspection, set for August 7-8, targets six departments to assess the quality of their research and teaching facilities. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high educational standards.

According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, the review will cover departments such as Agronomy, Environmental Sciences, Horticulture, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Plant Breeding and Genetics, and Plant Pathology. The Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Poonch University, Professor Dr. Shahid Iqbal Awan, stated that the university provides quality facilities for student research and teaching, highlighting the preparedness and efforts of the university staff in facilitating the accreditation council’s visit.

The evaluation by the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council is seen as a crucial step for the university to ensure its programs meet national standards and continue to produce qualified graduates in the field of agriculture.
