Rawalpindi: At a recent meeting organized by the Ushra Shaheeda Zindan Committee, Prof. Hasan Naqvi, the central convener of Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh Jafaria (TNFJ), urged the government to strengthen security measures for the upcoming funeral and mourning processions commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Sayeda Sakina bint Al Hussain (AS). These events are scheduled to take place from the 27th of Muharram to the 6th of Safar across Pakistan.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Prof. Naqvi emphasized the need for stringent implementation of the National Action Plan to ensure peace during the observances. He highlighted the importance of Hazrat Sakina’s character as a moral and spiritual example, particularly for young people. Naqvi’s call for increased protection comes amid concerns about potential disruptions by banned groups, underscoring the need for vigilance and preparedness by authorities during these significant religious events.
The TNFJ leader also reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting the oppressed and combating cruelty and brutality, aligning with the teachings commemorated during the mourning period.
