UNIVERSITY OF THE PUNJAB TO HOST PH.D. DEFENSE ON MEDIA AND NATIONAL SECURITY

Lahore: Mr. Ehtisham Ali is set to defend his PhD dissertation on the role of Pakistani media in shaping the national security agenda, specifically in the context of counter-terrorism, at the University of the Punjab. The public defense is scheduled for Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the Edward Said Boardroom of the School of Communication Studies.

According to University of the Punjab, the dissertation titled “Counter-Terrorism and National Security: An Analysis of Pakistani Media Agenda (2014-2019)” explores the influence and dynamics of media coverage on national security policies and perceptions during a critical period. Faculty members and scholars from MPhil and PhD programs are invited to attend and participate in the public defense session.

This event not only highlights significant academic research within the realm of Communication Studies but also opens a forum for further discussion on the impact of media on public and policy-level discourse concerning national security.
