Bahawalpur: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has ramped up its admission campaign and expanded financial support initiatives, as detailed by Professor Dr. Jawad Iqbal, chairman of the admission committee, during a live session on the university’s Facebook page.
According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, Professor Iqbal highlighted several developments within the Faculty of Management Sciences and Commerce, which boasts a range of departments from Entrepreneurship and Innovation to Technology Management. He emphasized the unique positioning of their Entrepreneurship department, its global relevance, and the integration of artificial intelligence in their curricula. The university is recognized for its high caliber of staff, with over forty-two PhD holders in the faculty, and ranks third in research in the Times Higher Education ranking for management sciences.
Further, Professor Iqbal outlined various student support mechanisms, including internships, an annual job fair, and scholarships available across all programs. A notable financial aid development is the collaboration with Meezan Bank, offering students loan options with manageable repayment terms. Additionally, the university has implemented fee reductions of up to 25% for certain programs and alumni, alongside introducing fixed tuition rates for new programs to encourage broader participation.
For specific admissions such as the LLB program, Professor Iqbal clarified the necessity of passing the LAT test, and addressed the allocation of seats for FATA students in line with government policies. He reassured prospective students about the available support through various university resources, including a dedicated helpline and direct access to faculty advice.
