ACCA Announces June 2024 Exam Results, Emphasizes Support Resources for Students

London: The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has released the results for its June 2024 examinations, revealing a diverse range of outcomes across its comprehensive suite of tests. This session involved 107,506 candidates with 124,727 exams completed, marking significant participation in one of the globally recognized accounting qualifications.

According to Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Alan Hatfield, executive director – content, quality, and innovation, expressed satisfaction with the mid-year results. “I’m delighted to see such a strong set of results and would like to congratulate the students who have achieved success in this session,” said Hatfield. He emphasized the ACCA’s commitment to supporting students’ career success through an array of resources designed to enhance learning and examination preparedness.

The ACCA has encouraged students to utilize the ACCA Study Hub and My Exam Performance tool for detailed feedback and additional learning support. These platforms provide access to study materials, past exam papers, and a practice platform that simulates the exam format. Data from the ACCA suggests that engagement with these resources correlates with higher pass rates and more rapid progression through the qualification phases.

Additionally, the Student Accountant app, which has garnered over 119,000 users, offers tailored push notifications and specialized exam support resources, further aiding students in their study efforts. The upcoming September 2024 syllabus update will introduce the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, S1 and S2, to the Strategic Business Reporting exams, marking an important evolution in the curriculum.

The ACCA also celebrated the achievement of 4,559 students who completed their exams and moved to affiliate status, poised to join over 250,000 members worldwide who are contributing positively to the accounting profession.

Pass rates for various exams ranged from highs of 89% in Business and Technology to lows around 37% in Advanced Audit and Assurance. Foundation level qualifications showed strong performances, particularly in the Financial and Management Accounting diplomas.

The ACCA Qualification aims to rigorously test the skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for modern accountants, with a strong emphasis on ethics and professionalism, preparing students for rewarding careers in finance.
