Career Services Office Inked Memorandum of Understandings with Institute of Rural Management –

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Another feather in Career Services Office’s cap. CSO has signed an MoU with IRM, formally a first step towards a digital learning platform. Learning and earning by acquiring 21st-century skills are one of the aims of the Career Services Office.

MoU signed by Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Mansoor Ahmed representing CSO and Dr. S. Hayat CEO IRM in the presence of the Head and Manager CSO and Dean of Management and social sciences.

Upon successful completion, Google will provide a Certificate.

Spell Arranged a Speed Scribing Showdown

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): SPELL (Students’ Panel of English Literature and Linguistics) organized a fun and creative storytelling session on March 10, 2023 wherein participants were challenged to write a short story in thirty minutes. The event was hosted by the Chairperson of SPELL, Qurat ul Ain Fatima, and was attended by special guests Dr. Saqib Zaigham, Ms. Uzma Arshad, and the Patron in Chief of SPELL, Ms. Asma Qandeel. The event was a fast-paced session where participants were encouraged to unleash their inner writer and let their imaginations run wild.

The host guided the participants about the rules. They were given a prompt and had to write a short story in just thirty minutes. The prompt was: ‘You’re a dragon who has been tormenting the town of Goldenberg for years but now there’s competition. “No one can terrorize these people but me,” you think’.

IIIE Organizes Seminar on “Surah Rehman: The Ultimate Remedy”

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Department of Economics of International Institute of Islamic Economics, IIIE, International Islamic University (Female Campus) organized a seminar on “Surah Rehman: The Ultimate Remedy”. Guest speaker of seminar, Dr. Mahrukh Zahoor, first female Cardiac Surgeon and Head of the Department, Capital Development Authority, CDA Hospital Islamabad shared her experiences about miraculous healing powers of curing deadly ICU patients.

Mrs. Zahra Zain, consultant and first female RF Engineer Telecommunications also spoke during the seminar and said, how compassion and love to the beloved radically transformed her life. Dr Nusrat Ullah, Urologist Rawal Hospital, and Ms Rida Noor, Auditor Habib Bank Limited HBL, Pakistan, themselves recovered patients and stand testimony to its truth. The speakers not only shared with an engrossed audience as how Surah Rehman works as an effective solution where the prowess of Medical Science failed. The seminar audience was captivated by the practical demonstration of Surah Rahman.

Earlier, Dr. Haleema Sadia, Assistant professor, IIIE welcomed the dedicated team of doctors for participating in the seminar and also shared her views about the significance of recitation of Holy Quran on daily basis. The seminar proceedings were followed by question answer session and testimonies by the people who hold evidence to its miraculous healing. The seminar ended with prayers to delve deeper in the quest for the miracles of the ultimate therapy and a note of thanks for all.

SPELL Organized a Speaking Activity Entitled ‘Fearless Faces’

Islamabad, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Following is the text of press release issued by Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST)SPELL (Students’ Panel of English Literature and Linguistics) organized an event entitled ‘Fearless Faces’ which aimed at encouraging individuals to confront their fears. The event was held on March 17, 2023. A number of participants took part in the public speaking activity and spoke candidly about their fears. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed patron of SPELL, Ms. Asma Qandeel and the chief guest, Dr. Saqib Zaigham.

The participants demonstrated tremendous courage and resilience as they shared their personal experiences of facing their fears. Their speeches were filled with inspiration and motivation, encouraging the audience to take on their fears and overcome them.

BIC, VUP Organized a Seminar On “Entrepreneurship as A Viable Career Option” In

Lahore, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Business Incubation Center (BIC) under the umbrella of ORIC along with SSBC organized an awareness seminar titled “Entrepreneurship as a Viable Career Option” in collaboration with BIC Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) for Students, Faculty, and Staff members of VU and LCWU. Ms. Noreen Zahra – Assistant Professor VU, Ms. Sarah Khan Ali – Director GTAP Global, and Mr. Zubair Anwar – Global Quality Leader, Trainer and Mentor guided the students and staff members to understand the roadmap of success in entrepreneurship and how to deal with the unique challenges that occur in starting a new business.

Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah, Director ORIC VUP emphasized the importance of Startups and their role in the digital economy. He told that Youth is the backbone of our country and the energies of youth should be utilized in positive activities through entrepreneurship. Dr. Aqsa, Director ORIC LCWU delivered a closing speech at the event. She appreciated the efforts of the team of ORIC department of Virtual University of Pakistan for making this event a huge success. A stall of E-Vehicles by Metro Group was set up at LCWU by the support of ORIC Department VUP to provide an opportunity to participants including students and staff of both institutions to have test drive of Electric Bikes. Participants got the opportunity to have the test drives of the electric bikes at the event and loved experiencing the test drives.

In a meeting with Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza Vice Chancellor, Lahore College for Women University, she appreciated the efforts of ORIC Department of Virtual University of Pakistan for organizing such a valuable event in collaboration with LCWU. Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza also highlighted that it is of critical importance to guide students to launch their startups and not only earn for their households but also contribute to the national economy.

Bahawalpur, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Sports Minister Punjab Wahab Riaz appreciated the curricular and co-curricular activities, research and development projects in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Talking to Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob on the occasion of his visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur today, he said that the University exceptional performance in all fields is commendable.

The Vice-Chancellor told him on this occasion that under the E-Rozgar program, 10 badges have been graduated so far and foreign exchange worth crores of rupees has been earned. Similarly, Islamia University Bahawalpur is associated with various projects of Punjab Information Technology Board and the university students as well as the youth of the area are getting skills in freelancing courses and other fields. On the occasion of his visit to Sadiq Computing and Research Center, the provincial minister visited E-Rozgar and Plan 9 laboratories and met the students under training.

The provincial minister visited the newly constructed cricket ground at the University Sports Complex and termed it as an international standard stadium as the best gift for Bahawalpur. During his visit, the provincial minister also met the students of the University Sports Society and discussed the ongoing sports activities in the university.
