4 in 10 people spent at least 1 hour using TikTok in the past few days: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan 

Islamabad, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 4 in 10 people spent at least 1 hour using TikTok in the past few days.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the following question regarding, “Keeping in mind the past few days, can you please tell me how much time you spent using TikTok?” 62% said that they had not spent any time using TikTok, 21% spent 1 hour, 10% spent 2 hours, 2% spent 3 hours, 1% spent 4 hours, 1% spent 5 hours and 4% said that they spent more than 5 hours using TikTok in the past few days.

On average, females spend 5 hours using TikTok while males spend 2 hours. The younger age group of 18-23 spends 7 hours on average using TikTok while all the rest spend 2 hours on average. Moreover, people with education less than FA spend 4 hours on average using TikTok while people with educational degrees higher than FA spend 2 hours on average using the app.

NTU physiotherapy screening and prevention camp by SSDG

Faisalabad, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Take care of your body, it’s the only thing you must live with. Society for Sustainable Development Goals NTU FSD in collaboration with Youth Serving Foundation (YSF) and NOVATEK PAKISTAN organized an awareness camp on Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG-3). The other collaborators were wings society, NCS and NTU OSH and E.

The awareness was about Physiotherapy Screening and Prevention generally based on mental and physical health. The camp started with an inauguration ceremony and a briefing session for the students about the importance of good health and wellbeing. A division of five booths was done to offer the students a proper way to analyse themselves. Different Screenings tests were performed by the students followed by a consultation from the doctors present in the specific booth. The camp ended by souvenirs, awarded to the guests by the society and a group photo.

Eligibility Criteria for BS English

Pak TESOL conference and training workshop on innovations in English language teaching and learning 

Gilgit, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Department of Linguistics and Literature KIU arranged first ever Pak TESOL Regional Conference and a two-day Training workshop on, “Innovations in English Language Teaching and Learning” in collaboration with AIOU and PAK TESOL for the English Language Teachers of University, Colleges and Schools of GB.

Faculty of education holds media talk on sustainable educational development 

Islamabad, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Faculty of Education, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized a media talk as a part of the Series of Events on Grand National Dialogue in collaboration with Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus of the university.

Prof. Dr. Haroona Jatoi, Former Joint Education Advisor, Curriculum Wing Islamabad, Dr. Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Additional Director General, Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority, Head Office Lahore and Prof. Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani Vice President (A and F) IIUI were the speakers during the program while, it was moderated by Ms. Fizza Sajawal Anchor person, Pakistan Television, PTV World.

During the program the speakers opined that Nations are made not by wealth but education system as no country can achieve its targets without educating its youth. Prof. N. B. Jumani Vice President (A and F), IIUI during his address stressed upon conducting dialogues in the society, Dr. Jumani paid special thanks to Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) for collaborating with the newly developed Faculty of Education, International Islamic University Islamabad.

He added that dialogue provides guidelines to the scholars to select / identify key areas required in research. Dr. Jumani also said that IIUI administration is working day and night under the leadership of President, IIUI H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi to serve the Muslim World.

Prof. Dr. Samina Yasmin Malik Vice President (Female Campus) as Guest of Honour mentioned Education as a goal in itself and a source to achieving all other sustainable development goals. She appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Education on this occasion.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Dean Faculty of Education said that that overall, this Grand National Dialogue has achieved its objectives and Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) and Faculty of Education are on single page, regarding promotion of peace and dissemination of the quality education.

Dr. Sarwar appreciated faculty and staff members for organizing the series of seminars on the occasion. Dr. Azhar Mahmood also mentioned the basic purpose of Grand National Dialogue (GND) to highlight the key issues in the education sector and finding solutions in this regard.

DG Shariah Academy, IIUI inaugurates new office of Dawah Center for Women

Islamabad, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Director General Shariah Academy Dr. Farkhanda Zia has said Islam gave higher importance to women and they can play a pivotal role in dissemination of Islam’s message of peace. She expressed these views while inaugurating the new office of the Dawah Centre for Women (DCW) at the female campus. She said that DCW has been serving the society in the best manner for the last 25 years.

She said women have equal importance in society and they must play their role in building the society, especially their role as mother is of great importance. She hailed services of the Incharge DCW Dr. Faryal Ambreen said that she has been dedicatedly taking care of this center.

Dr. Faryal Ambreen in her address said that DCW’s 25 years long efforts are the source of a meaningful change in society. On the occasion, Dr. Noreen Sehar, chairperson Anthropology said that DCW is a vital asset of Muslim World. Incharge Dar al Muneera Dr Sajda Jameel, Dr. Fareed Brohi, Dr. Ummat al Aziz also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of Dawah Academy.
