GCU awards Co-Curricular Rolls of Honour to 55 Students 

Lahore, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Government College University Lahore on Saturday awarded Rolls of Honour to 55 students and medals to 15 for their exceptional performance in co-curricular activities during 2021-22. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi along with Distinguished Professor Dr. Zaheer-ud-Khan awarded the rolls of honour to students on second day of convocation.

As many 2303 degrees are being awarded at the GCU’s 20th Convocation which is spread over three days. It includes total 67 PhD degrees and 692 MS/MPhil degrees. As many as five students will also be awarded Roll of Honour for their outstanding achievements in sports during the last academic year. In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Zaidi said the unique grooming of students at GCU is hinged on the wonderful efforts of its co-curricular societies and clubs run by students. “It enhances their leadership abilities and brings to the surface their creative and analytical skills,” he added.

He said 92 societies and clubs at GCU cater to diverse activities under the aegis of the GCU Societies’ Board; the students are encouraged to raise significant questions, entertain difference of opinion, form their opinions on the basis of sound arguments, and have tolerance towards the faith, beliefs, religion and ideas of other people.

He said that the first and biggest All Pakistan Summit for Students’ Societies was held at GCU in last academic year. The Vice Chancellor advised graduates that in pursuit of splendour and glory, they ought to preserve the traditions of creativity, insight and perseverance which are always cherished at GCU. “Your success lies in the measure of resilience and cerebral vigour,” he said. Distinguished Professor Dr. Zaheer-ud-Khan also congratulated the graduates, saying that “this is just the beginning; you are a star in the making.”

At the concluding session of the convocation, besides degrees and awards, the University will also confer the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards upon its ten distinguished alumni from different walks of life to recognize their career-long outstanding work and achievements. Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi is also expected to grace this special occasion.

Old Ravians to be honoured this year are Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Aitzaz Ahsan, Dr Arfa Sayeda Zehra, Hadiqa Kiani, Dr Samar Mubarakmand, Ramiz Raja, Prof. Dr Javed Akram, Shamshad Ahmad, Prof. Khurshid Rizvi and Professor Ahmed Rafique Akhtar.

The second semester examinations of ADE/BEd will be held from November 29 in government colleges affiliated to University of Sindh 

Jamshoro, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The moderator of semester examinations of University of Sindh, Jamshoro Muhammad Mashuq Siddiqui, has informed in a statement that the examinations of the second semester 2021 of all batches of ADE/B.E.D. Honours (regular and follower) in government colleges affiliated to the university were held from Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Extension of date of re-allotment in Sindh University Boys Hostels till 14 November 

Jamshoro, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The date of submission of form for re-allotment in boys hostels of Sindh University Jamshoro has been extended till 14th November. According to a statement issued by the Provost Boys Hostels Dr. Pansad Ali Khoso, the students staying in the hostels of University of Sindh can submit their application for re-allotment to the Provost’s office till November 14.

According to the notification, along with the application, 2 copies of admission fee challan, 2 copies of student ID card, 2 copies each of self and father’s ID card, 4 photographs, copy of domicile, one copy of previous allotment fee challan and A copy of the hostel form fee challan must be submitted. According to the announcement, students who want to get re-allotment in hostels can download the hostel allotment form and Rs.100 challan from their e-port. According to the declaration, a challan of Rs 100 hostel form fee can be submitted in any branch of Habib Bank.

According to the notification, Dr. MA Qazi Institute of Chemistry Professor Dr. Irfana Begum Malah on Professor seat in Sindh University Syndicate, Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Aqeel Bhutto on Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering seat, Assistant Professor Department. Omid Ali Rand of Statistics and Abdul Rahman Nangaraj of Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science have been successful.

Islamabad, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Pakistan People’s Party has demanded the implementation of the constitution by summoning Imran Khan to the Parliamentary Commission on the foreign conspiracy narrative and now his resignation. Imran Khan has painted the mark of a person unfamiliar with “patriotism” on his forehead. Secretary General People’s Party Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari has said in an interview to a foreign newspaper that the National Security Committee has rejected Imran Khan’s fake and false narrative. What was the People’s Party termed the Cipher narrative as a dangerous conspiracy against the country, they have said that they have exposed their “dirty character” who is raising the false flag of a heinous conspiracy against the national security institutions.

I have admitted to lying and the conspiratorial mentality of Imran Khan has been revealed by announcing his withdrawal from the foreign conspiracy narrative. Nayyar Bukhari has said that the national political and democratic leadership with visionary ability wisely foiled the conspiracy of Imran Niazi, who put the national interest at stake, to inflict a deep wound similar to anti-nationalism. The real role of Wale has come to the fore. It has become clear day by day that the opposition has done national service by expelling the conspirator.

Bukhari has further said that Imran Khan’s conspiratorial narrative of using the prohibited funds of citizens of enemy countries was tantamount to helping and pleasing Modi. Pakistan People’s Party Foundation Day celebrations will be held on November 30 in all provincial, divisional and district headquarters of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan: Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari 

Islamabad, November 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The establishment day celebrations of Pakistan People’s Party will be held on November 30 across the country including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, all provincial, divisional, according to the statement issued by Secretary General People’s Party Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari, this decision has been taken with the permission of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. All provincial presidents including Gilgit-Baltistan Azad Kashmir have participated and ratified the decision.

Secretary General People’s Party Syed Nair Hussain Bukhari has said in his statement that the establishment day of the People’s Party of Pakistan People’s Party on November 30 will be filled with enthusiasm across the country. Events organized by organizations will be organized in the provincial divisional district headquarters of the People’s Party. Nayyar Bukhari has said that the nominated members of the People’s Party Central Majlis Amaila from all provinces will address the Majlis Amaila Foundation Day celebrations and the members of the People’s Party Majlis-e-Amila will submit a report to the provincial organizations about the events organized under the auspices of the party organizations will do will do.
