Karachi, November 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have expressed deep grief and shock over the death of the mother of Asim Yasin, reporter of The News, a senior journalist of Islamabad, and Amir Yasin, reporter of Daily Dawn.

While expressing his condolences to journalist Asim Yasin and journalist Amir Yasin, in a condolence message to Asim Yasin, the former president said that the death of a mother is an unforgettable shock for children. Yasin and Aamir share Yasin’s grief, PPP leaders prayed for Asim Yasin’s mother’s forgiveness and high status.

PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the burning of a girls’ school by miscreants in Dariel area near Diamir 

Karachi, November 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the burning of a girls’ school in Dariel area near Diamir in Gilgit-Baltistan by miscreants. According to a statement issued by media cell Bilawal Hawass, the PPP chairman in his reaction said that the burning of the girls’ school was equivalent to the attack on Pakistan by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

He demanded the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incident and emphasized that the government of Gilgit-Baltistan should ensure the security of the educational institutions and the teachers and students associated with them, especially the female teachers and students. The foreign minister said that Pakistan will deal with such elements with iron hands, who want to force their political agenda on the people in the name of religion.

He said that the acquisition of knowledge for men and women in Islam The importance of is clear. He further said that Islam is the name of establishing equality and justice between men and women in the society. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan People’s Party will not suffer any compromise on the issue of women’s education, development and independence.

Senator Waleed Iqbal delivers lecture on relevance of Iqbal’s philosophy to today’s society

Islamabad, November 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) in connection with Iqbal Day organized a seminar on “Relevance of Iqbal’s philosophy to today’s society” in which grandson of the poet of east Senator Waleed delivered a lecture at the new campus of the university on Wednesday.

Senator Waleed Iqbal emphasized on the message of hope and future in the works of Allama Iqbal adding that the poet of east called for political and economic freedom with an approach that nation should not be dependent upon anyone rather the life of a nation must be like an eagle who lives a life of prestigious solitude.

Senator Waleed Iqbal stressed upon the elements of creativity and out of the box solutions in the light of the works of Iqbal urging the youth to interpret the essence of the approach of Iqbal. Discussing the uncertainty, investment loss and unrest in the society, he called upon the nation to adopt a whole nation approach to address the challenges.

Mentioning the element of courage and struggle in the poetry of Allama Iqbal, Senator Waleed Iqbal said that the era in which Iqbal wrote about hope and struggle was even worse than the one we are facing but he proved to be a beacon to adopt the hope and struggle to revive the legacy of Muslims.

He also mentioned the works of Iqbal discussing the respect and research being done on his message in the rest of the world and acknowledged that it was always an honour to be a member of the family of a great poet and great philosopher.

He opined that Iqbal was a staunch supporter of the identity of Muslims and he kept asking the nation to never lose confidence and they must believe in their past and their selves to rise back.

On the occasion, Vice Presidents of IIUI Dr. N.B Jumani, Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Dr. Ayaz Afsar and Dr. Samina Malik were present on the occasion. It was also attended by Deans, DGs, senior faculty members, Provosts, student advisors and a large number of national and international students. Earlier, Dr. Najiba Arif, who was also moderator of the seminar, paid tributes to Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal and discussed his work and message. It is pertinent to mention here that IIUI has organized a week for the celebrations to pay tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal in which seminar and other relevant programs are being arranged.
