High-powered panel and enhanced production to cover Pakistan-England T20Is 

Lahore, September 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Cricket Board has put together a dynamic commentary panel for the historic seven T20 Internationals between Pakistan and England.

Renowned commentators David Gower and Mark Butcher from England, and Pakistan’s cricket legends Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Aamir Sohail, Bazid Khan and Urooj Mumtaz will commentate on the seven games to be played across Karachi and Lahore from 20 September until 2 October.

Throughout the series, these pundits will also provide insights in pre- and post-match shows to be hosted by famed presenter Zainab Abbas.

As the board continues its efforts to enhance the TV viewership experience for Pakistan Cricket fans across the world, Spidercam will be used to bring fascinating and captivating images for the first time in an international series in Pakistan from the seven T20Is.

The production will be done through 28 full High-Definition cameras – including Buggy and Drone cameras. The production will also include a comprehensive Hawkeye set-up – UltraMotion ball-tracking and UltraEdge to further enhance and aid Decision Review System.

The series marks the return of the England men’s side to Pakistan after a gap of 17 years and the broadcast of this much-anticipated series will be available through PTV Sports on Linear TV and ARY Zap on live streaming within Pakistan; Etisalat (Middle-East and North Africa), Flow Sports (Caribbean), Sky NZ (New Zealand), Fox Sports (Australia), Sky Sports (United Kingdom), Sony (South Asia outside Pakistan), Super Sports (Sub-Saharan Africa) and Willow TV (North America). BBC Sport (United Kingdom) and FM 106.2 (Pakistan) will be radio partners for the series.

32% of Karachi’s population believes that administrative issues pertaining to cleanliness are the biggest issue that their city is facing: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan 

Islamabad, September 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 32% of Karachi’s population said that administrative issues pertaining to cleanliness are the biggest issue that their city is facing.

A representative sample of adult men and women from Karachi was asked the following question, “What do you think is the biggest issue that Karachi is facing?” In response to this question, 32% said ‘Administrative issues pertaining to cleanliness,’ 23% said ‘Inflation,’ 13% responded ‘Unavailability of drinking water,’ 8% said ‘Unemployment,’ 7% said ‘All problems,’ 4% responded ‘Others,’ 2% said ‘Load shedding of electricity’ and ‘Issues of law and order’ while 1% of the people responded, ‘Sewage Issue,’ ‘Broken or damaged roads,’ and ‘Transportation problems.’ Looking across the age groups, it was found that 27% of people aged 18-23 think that inflation is the biggest issue as compared to 23% of those aged 50+, while both the age groups had the same views on administrative issues, with 30% saying that the feel that is the biggest issue.

100 Reasons To Love Beijing: Global netizens invited to make videos about Beijing

BEIJING, Sept. 15, 2022 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/–The Third Video Competition on “100 Reasons To Love Beijing” was launched on September 8, 2022. Sponsored by the Information Office of Beijing Municipal People’s Government and organized by the News and Information Center, Xinhua News Agency, the contest is designed to attract Internet users from around the world to share their impression about Beijing with short videos or golden words.

The Third Video Competition on “100 Reasons To Love Beijing” was launched on September 8, 2022.

Xu Hejian, director of the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, said in his speech the “100 Reasons To Love Beijing” Short Video Competition, a cultural outreach event initiated by the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, has been held successfully for two times. It attracted the participation of more than 3,000 foreign friends from over 100 countries and regions, and solicited nearly 5,000 works in the aggregate, from which many excellent videos were selected. The 2022 edition of the competition themed “How YOUNG Beijing Is” continues to solicit short videos from among foreigners who like Beijing. The competition is intended to serve as a platform for people to exchange their feelings about Beijing.

“Friendship, which derives from close contact between the people, holds the key to sound nation-to-nation relations,” Ma Jianguo, deputy director of the News and Information Center, Xinhua News Agency, said the “100 Reasons To Love Beijing ” is an activity to bring the people from all over the world to get connected, and to enable the people throughout the world to better understand Beijing. “In the run-up to the event, a lot of foreign friends sent videos to overseas branches of Xinhua News Agency, telling how and why they love Beijing”.
