Karachi: Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), has emphasized the importance of remembering the 1965 war for its demonstration of military valor and national solidarity. He expressed his gratitude toward the members of the Armed Forces who served during the conflict, particularly highlighting the sacrifices made by martyrs and veterans.

According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Dr. Sahrai's remarks were made during an observance of Pakistan's Defence and Martyrs Day. He reflected on the historical tensions with India, citing repeated acts of aggression that he claims have been consistently repelled by Pakistan's military and its people. He referenced an incident in May of the previous year as an example of these dynamics, stating that India faced international embarrassment following its actions.

Dr. Sahrai also called upon the youth, particularly those affiliated with SMIU, to maintain readiness in the face of future threats. He encouraged young people to support the Armed Forces and contribute to the nation’s development and defense, emphasizing the need for mental preparedness against any form of provocation.
