UVAS Lahore and UVAS Swat Sign MoU to Enhance Academic and Research Collaboration

Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has signed a memorandum of understanding with UVAS Swat, aiming to enhance cooperation in academic and research endeavors, as well as student training and capacity building for faculty and administrative staff.

According to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the agreement was formalized in a ceremony at the UVAS City Campus, attended by UVAS Lahore Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus and UVAS Swat Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Shakeeb Ullah. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani and officials from both institutions were also present.

The memorandum outlines a framework for joint research and interdisciplinary projects, providing training opportunities for students such as pre-internships and internships to gain practical exposure. The institutions will share research facilities, equipment, scientific resources, and technical infrastructure, including clinics and farms. Faculty exchanges for teaching, research, and consultation will also be facilitated. Additionally, the agreement includes the exchange of academic materials, publications, and research findings, with plans to jointly organize training programs, workshops, conferences, and professional development sessions.

In a related educational initiative, faculty and students from Rashid Latif Medical College Lahore visited UVAS Lahore. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus provided an overview of UVAS's academic, research, and extension activities, highlighting its training programs and collaborations on both national and international levels.
