LAHORE: Punjab University’s Department of Digital Media organized a policy dialogue aimed at strengthening the collaboration between academia and the digital media industry. The event was attended by notable figures such as PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali, Chairperson of the Department of Digital Media Prof Dr. Savera Mujib Shami, Dr. Shafiq Kamboh, along with representatives from universities and the media sector.

According to University of the Punjab, the dialogue focused on equipping students with the necessary education and skills to meet modern industry demands. Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali highlighted the importance of universities producing graduates who are prepared to work globally. He noted the rapid pace of change in the world, emphasizing the unpredictability of the future landscape and the necessity for students to be prepared across all fields, including media.

Prof Dr. Savera Mujib Shami outlined the dialogue's objectives, stressing the department’s ongoing efforts to foster cooperation between educational institutions and the media industry.
