Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended greetings to the government and the people of Armenia on the occasion of the 35th Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari sent a message to President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, highlighting the new chapter in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Armenia. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established last August. The President expressed confidence in the strengthening of ties and the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of common interest, aiming for the peace, progress, and prosperity of both nations.
