Islamabad: The Department of Psychology at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a seminar titled "Career Abroad as a Psychologist," aimed at guiding students on pursuing professional opportunities overseas. The event, attended by faculty members and students, featured insights from Dr. Annum Khan, a Registered Psychologist currently practicing in Australia.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the seminar included discussions on job-hunting strategies, documentation requirements, and professional registration processes for psychologists seeking careers abroad, with a particular focus on practices in Australia. Dr. Annum Khan, a member of the Australian Association of Psychologist Inc. (AAPI), provided practical guidance based on her experience working at Wetherill Park Medical and Dental Centre in Sydney.

The seminar began with a welcome note and a recitation from the Holy Qur'an, setting the stage for an informative session. Dr. Khan's presentation covered various aspects of establishing a career as a psychologist in foreign countries, emphasizing the importance of understanding international licensing procedures.

Concluding the event, Prof. Dr. Manzoor Khan Afridi, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, and Dr. Nazia Iqbal, Chairperson Department of Psychology, expressed their appreciation for Dr. Khan's contributions. They acknowledged the seminar as a significant initiative by the Department of Psychology in providing career guidance to students, aiming to help them navigate international professional pathways.
