Harare: Zimbabwe Cricket has announced a 16-player squad for the upcoming series against the West Indies, featuring three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) to be held on home soil. Josephine Nkomo will captain the team across the six matches, maintaining consistency with the squad that recently faced South Africa in a T20I series.

According to International Cricket Council, the squad includes experienced players such as Nomvelo Sibanda, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano, Modester Mupachikwa, and Sharne Mayers, who form the core of the team. Notably, Loreen Tshuma is unavailable due to injury, while Lorraine Pemhiwa and Lindokuhle Mabhera have been replaced by Chiedza Dhururu and Olinder Chare.

The squad features two players selected for specific formats: Kudzai Chigora will participate in the ODIs, while Francisca Chipare is included for the T20Is. The West Indies series is part of a busy calendar for Zimbabwe, who have played ICC Women's Championship matches in New Zealand and Pakistan and recently hosted South Africa.

The ODIs, integral to the ICC Women's Championship, will be held at Harare Sports Club beginning September 24. The subsequent T20I matches will take place at Takashinga Cricket Club. The schedule is as follows: the ODIs will be played on September 24, 27, and 30, and the T20Is on October 3, 5, and 7.
