Zainab Khan and Noor Zaman Triumph at National Squash Games

Karachi: The 35th National Games concluded today at the PSF Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, showcasing the talents of top athletes from across the nation. The event wrapped up with high-stakes final matches and a comprehensive prize distribution ceremony.

In the women’s individual category, Zainab Khan from the Army emerged victorious, defeating Mahnoor Ali from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with a score of 3-1. The match concluded with sets of 11-8, 11-8, 10-12, and 11-3.

In the men’s individual category, Noor Zaman representing WAPDA claimed the championship by overcoming Huzaifa Ibrahim from the Army. The final ended with a 3-1 victory for Zaman, with set scores of 11-4, 10-12, 11-5, and 11-6.

The team championships saw the Army securing the gold medal in both the women’s and men’s categories. In the women’s team event, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa earned silver, while Punjab and Balochistan shared the bronze. On the men’s side, WAPDA took silver, with Pakistan Air Force and Punjab each taking bronze.

The winners of the individual championships included Zainab Khan and Noor Zaman for gold, Mahnoor Ali and Huzaifa Ibrahim for silver, and a shared bronze among Faiza Zafar, Sehrish Ali, Ashab Irfan, and M. Ammad.

Organizers expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Olympic Association, Sindh Olympic Association, and Sindh Squash Association for their contributions to the event’s success, highlighting the dedication and talent of all participants.
