RAWALPINDI: An exhibition showcasing the calligraphy and painting works of young artists was held at the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi. Jointly organized by the Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi and Afzal Art Gallery, the event featured 80 works of art.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Mehdi Taheri, Director General Khana Farhang Iran, who was joined by former Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Waqar Ahmed, Director Public Relations Rawalpindi Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Sajjad Hussain, and Managing Director Afzal Art Gallery Lahore Mian Afzal.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Taheri emphasized the dedication of the young artists, highlighting their cultural commitment through their artwork. He noted the importance of supporting young creatives to foster their growth and development.
Waqar Ahmed remarked on the abundant talent in the country, suggesting that further development and opportunities are needed. He pointed out the Arts Council’s ongoing efforts to support this cause.
Iftikhar Hussain Shah stated that the Punjab government is focused on nurturing young talent. He praised the artists for showcasing their potential and capabilities in the exhibition.
Sajjad Hussain commented on the council’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for all artists, which he believes will not only promote art but also encourage the youth.
Mian Afzal congratulated all participating artists for the success of the exhibition, acknowledging their contributions to making the event memorable.
