Women’s Empowerment Takes Center Stage at Rawalpindi Arts Council Event


Rawalpindi: The Punjab Council of the Arts in Rawalpindi hosted a significant event aimed at promoting women’s empowerment in Pakistan. Yasir Ilyas, Advisor to the Prime Minister, underscored the government’s commitment to fostering women’s active participation in society, highlighting the importance of utilizing their talents. The ceremony marked the inauguration of the Rawalpindi Art Gallery and Painting Exhibition on the first floor of the Punjab Council of the Arts.



The event was attended by various dignitaries including Mrs. Shazia Rizwan, the First Secretary Information and Culture, Punjab, who emphasized her dedication to the welfare of women in the Rawalpindi Division. Members of the Chamber of Commerce, Lion Club, as well as a large number of women, teachers, and students from the Women’s University were also present.



Mr. Muhammad Shakoor, Director of the Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi, expressed gratitude towards the guests and attendees. He stated that the council is actively organizing cultural programs and festivals in alignment with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He announced plans for grand celebrations of Independence Day, reflecting the council’s commitment to cultural development.
