Sargodha: The University of Sargodha’s Institute of Art and Design recently hosted an art exhibition titled “Voices of Resilience,” focusing on the strength and lived experiences of women. The event, part of the Research Arena 2025 initiative, showcased art that narrated stories of women who have turned challenges into resilience.
The opening ceremony saw the presence of notable figures, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Guest of Honour Prof. Dr. Saeed Akber from Bradford Shire, England, and Chief Guest Ms. Kynat Raza, a philanthropist and social activist. Their attendance underscored the exhibition’s significance in promoting women’s empowerment.
Curated by Ms. Shumaila Islam and organized under the direction of Mrs. Maryam Saif, Director of the Institute of Art and Design, the exhibition aimed to elevate the role of art in addressing social issues. It sought to transform narratives of struggle into stories of strength and hope.
Through visual art, “Voices of Resilience” provided a platform for women to share their often untold personal and social narratives. The exhibition successfully highlighted art’s potential in raising social awareness and empowering individuals.
