Virtual University of Pakistan and National College of Arts Forge Partnership to Enhance Digital Capabilities

Lahore: In a significant move to boost digital capabilities in the educational sector, The Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) and the National College of Arts (NCA) have entered into a Service Level Agreement (SLA). The agreement, signed on July 5, 2024, aims to foster collaboration in academic and administrative domains between the two prestigious institutions.

According to Virtual University of Pakistan, the signing ceremony was attended by key figures from both institutions, including VUP’s Rector Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, Dean of Faculty of Sciences Prof. Dr. Mohsin Javed, Registrar Prof. Dr. Ather Azim Khan, and Director ICT Mr. Ehsen Zafar Puri. Representing NCA were Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri, Acting Registrar Bushra Saeed Khan, and Programme Coordinator Nomera Adil.

The collaboration will focus on the development and integration of an online admission portal for NCA, leveraging VUP’s extensive experience in digitalization. This initiative is expected to enhance the technological infrastructure of both institutions and provide a robust platform for academic progress and administrative efficiency.

Dr. Murtaza Jafri, Vice Chancellor of NCA, emphasized the importance of digital tools in contemporary education and expressed enthusiasm for the potential improvements in content creation and student engagement the partnership could bring. The agreement also includes plans for a dedicated studio to support students’ creative projects.

The event concluded with a tour of VUP’s advanced facilities, including their studios and graphic department, and an exchange of souvenirs, marking the commencement of a promising alliance aimed at enhancing educational experiences through digital innovation.
