Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) recently hosted a Mehfil-e-Qiraat, Naat and Manqbat at its City Campus to honor the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). This event, organized by the Qiraat and Naat, Qirtas, and Character Building Society of UVAS, brought together faculty and students in a profound display of spiritual devotion.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the gathering was presided over by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus, with notable faculty members including Prof Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani and Dr. Muhammad Sarwar Siddique in attendance. The event featured recitations of the Holy Quran and performances of Naat and Manqbat, reflecting deep spiritual reverence and communal solidarity.
Dr. Muhammad Younus emphasized the importance of the teachings from the tragedy of Karbala, highlighting courage in the face of oppression and the importance of standing firm for truth. The event aimed not only to commemorate the historic religious sacrifice but also to foster a sense of spiritual unity and resilience among the UVAS community.
