Turbat: In a showcase of athleticism and sportsmanship, the University of Turbat (UoT) and the University of Gwadar (UoG) competed in a thrilling series of inter-university sports matches, held on August 26, 2025. The University of Turbat’s football team triumphed with a narrow 2-1 victory, while the University of Gwadar dominated in cricket, securing a 9-wicket win.

The University of Gwadar’s sports teams, under the leadership of Director of Sports Mr. Sagheer Ahmed, visited UoT for these competitive encounters. On their arrival, they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mazhar Ali, UoT’s Director of Sports, highlighting the camaraderie and mutual respect between the institutions.

In a closely contested football match, UoT emerged victorious. The game was marked by impressive performances from UoT’s Muhammad Rizwan and Saad, who each scored a goal, leading their team to a hard-fought win over the visitors.

Meanwhile, the cricket match saw UoG delivering a commanding performance. After UoT set a target of 104 runs in 10 overs, UoG chased it down in just 8 overs, losing only one wicket in the process. This dominant display underscored UoG’s cricketing prowess.

Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, Vice Chancellor of UoT, praised the sporting event for highlighting the talent of students and fostering regional harmony. He commended the efforts of the sports departments in organizing such a spirited competition, emphasizing the role of sports in promoting inter-university collaboration and youth engagement.
