University of the Punjab Announces PhD Defense on Chili Wilt Management Using Nanoparticles

Lahore: The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of the Punjab is set to host the public defense and viva voce examination of Mr. Muhammad Khaleel’s PhD thesis. The event, scheduled for August 2, 2024, will focus on innovative strategies for managing chili crop diseases through the use of biologically synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles.

According to University of the Punjab, the thesis defense will take place in the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at 11:00 AM. Mr. Khaleel has conducted his research under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Nasir Subhani, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ali Shahid, and Dr. Shahbnum Shaheen. The subject of his dissertation, “Management of Chili (Capsicum annum L.) Wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. capsici using Biologically Synthesized Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles,” addresses critical challenges in agricultural production related to crop disease.
