Mardan: The University of Engineering and Technology, Mardan hosted its fifth Senate meeting at the Governor House in Peshawar, where critical budgetary decisions for the upcoming financial year were approved. Chaired by the Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, the meeting saw the approval of budget estimates for 2024-25 and revisions for the previous fiscal year.
According to University of Engineering and Technology – Mardan, the Senate meeting brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including university officials and representatives from various governmental and educational institutions. The approved budget aims to bolster the university’s financial sustainability and continue its commitment to educational excellence.
The meeting featured discussions led by UET Mardan’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Imran Khan, and other key members such as the university’s Registrar and Treasurer. Attendees included Mrs. Justice Irshad Qaiser (Retired) representing the Peshawar High Court, various university chancellors, and nominees from the Higher Education Commission and the Finance Department.
The Senate expressed its satisfaction with the university administration’s efforts to present a rationalized budget that aligns with UET Mardan’s strategic goals. The meeting underscored the university’s focus on maintaining financial health and supporting its academic and infrastructural projects.
