Lahore: The Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology at the University of the Punjab has scheduled Ph.D. thesis defenses for two doctoral candidates, focusing on innovative research in cancer and genetic disorders. The defenses will take place on September 24 and 25, 2024, at the university’s Lahore campus.
According to University of the Punjab, Ms. Mariam Naveed will defend her thesis on the role of long non-coding RNA in breast cancer, exploring its modulation through selective medicinal plant extracts. The following day, Ms. Andleeb Hanif will present her research on genetic predispositions and clinical manifestations in Pakistani patients with hematological disorders. The university invites academic peers and the public to attend these critical discussions, which aim to advance knowledge in crucial medical fields.
