University of Sindh Celebrates 77th Independence Day Across All Campuses

Jamshoro: The University of Sindh and its affiliated campuses, along with Dr. NA Baloch Model School, enthusiastically celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day. The festivities included flag hoisting, the national anthem, a salute to the green crescent flag by police and armed forces, and a plantation drive spearheaded by the Green Youth Movement Club.

According to University of Sindh, the ceremonies commenced with Quran recitation followed by a parade of police and Sindh University security personnel. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro presided over the main event at the Hyder Bakhsh Jatoi Pavilion, where children gave speeches and distributed sweets, paying tribute to the founders of the nation and highlighting the significance of the freedom struggle.

Dr. Kalhoro, in his address, emphasized the importance of quality education in shaping responsible citizens and the role of the university in fostering national development. He highlighted the contributions of the university community to the country’s prosperity and called on the youth to actively participate in its continued growth.

The celebrations also extended to other campuses including Elsa Qazi campus of University of Sindh, Hyderabad, where Independence Day was marked by various educational and cultural activities, further enhancing the national spirit among students and staff.
