Sargodha: The University of Sargodha's Syndicate convened its 75th meeting under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, resulting in the approval of a Rs. 6 billion budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year. Key measures approved include increased examination duty remuneration, enhanced allowances for student activities, and a policy for granting permanent status to eligible daily wage workers.
According to University of Sargodha, the meeting, held on July 4, 2026, included notable attendees such as Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, former Vice Chancellor. The Syndicate also supported the nomination of professors to the Advanced Studies and Research Board and discussed administrative and financial reforms.
