Sargodha: Undergraduate students from the University of Sargodha have won 23 projects at the IGNITE Competition 2024, organized by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. This significant achievement out of 78 submissions showcases the university’s strong performance in engineering and computing innovation.
According to University of Sargodha, the competition held under the auspices of the IGNITE National Technology Fund aims to bolster final year undergraduate students in ICT related fields. This initiative supports students financially to develop prototypes and working models for their final-year projects, emphasizing practical applications of their academic learning.
The winning projects emerged from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computing and IT at the University. Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, expressed his pride in the students, faculty members, and the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) for this commendable success. He highlighted the university’s dedication to equipping students with practical skills and enhancing their prospects for professional advancement.
