University of Lahore Student’s Research on Currency Detection for Blind People Accepted at International Conference

Lahore, Aqsa Mushtaq, a final year BBA student at Namal University Mianwali, has developed a Currency Detection System specifically for blind people. Her research paper on the subject has been accepted for presentation at the upcoming International Research Conference, Xplor Chapter 5.

According to Namal University Mianwali, Mushtaq’s paper titled “Currency Detection System for Blind People” utilizes the YOLOv8 deep learning model to aid visually impaired individuals in identifying different denominations of currency. This technology not only represents a significant advancement in assistive technology but also highlights the potential of integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence in solving real-world problems.

The conference, hosted by the University of Lahore, will provide a platform for Mushtaq to share her findings with the global academic community, emphasizing the role of innovative technologies in enhancing social welfare.
