Haripur: The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at the University of Haripur, in collaboration with the Regional Blood Centre in Abbottabad, organized a blood donation camp aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and enhancing student awareness and training in transfusion medicine.

The camp, supervised by Professor Dr. Sadiq Noor Khan, adhered to standard blood safety and donor screening protocols. Technical support was provided by qualified professionals from the Regional Blood Centre. Students engaged in various activities, including donor registration and observing blood collection procedures under expert guidance.

A significant outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Haripur’s Department of Medical Laboratory Technology and the Regional Blood Centre. The agreement is expected to enhance student training opportunities, internships, workshops, and foster future academic and research collaboration. This initiative is seen as a step towards benefiting both students and the healthcare system in the region.
