Chitral: The University of Chitral actively participated in the recently held Chitral Expo-2024, organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) at Pamir Hotel, showcasing a range of educational and cultural initiatives aimed at promoting regional prosperity and cultural heritage.

According to University of Chitral, their contributions were multifaceted, enhancing the expo’s overall impact. The Chitrailian Science Society, in collaboration with the Agriculture Research Center, featured a stall that highlighted advancements in agricultural research and organic food promotion. Simultaneously, the Tourism and Hotel Management Department showcased Chitral’s cultural and tourism potentials, emphasizing the area’s hospitality offerings.

The Department of Sociology was notably active, organizing two stalls that displayed local handicrafts and artifacts, drawing considerable attention and appreciation from expo visitors for their vivid portrayal of the region’s rich cultural fabric.

Additional support came from the university’s Guest Relations Officers who ensured efficient coordination and facilitation across the event. Furthermore, Sawera Hussain and Hani Amir from the Department of English served as stage secretaries, skillfully managing the expo’s proceedings and contributing to its smooth execution.
