University of Central Punjab Hosts 4th Engineering Boot Camp to Foster Student Innovation

Lahore: The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Central Punjab successfully hosted its 4th Engineering Boot Camp on July 29, 2024, designed to enrich the educational journey of prospective undergraduate engineering students. The boot camp drew participation from 201 students out of 370 registrants from various schools and colleges across Lahore, providing a dynamic platform to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in emerging engineering fields.

According to University of Central Punjab , the boot camp featured four main areas of focus: Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Engineering and Robotics, Introduction to Space Technology, 3D Printing, and a Hackathon. These categories were selected to introduce students to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that are shaping the future of engineering and technology.

The event was supported and commended by several high-ranking officials from the university, including Pro-Rector Dr. Hammad Naveed, Provost Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob, and the deans of various engineering departments. Dr. Rizwan Shad, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with Dr. Muhammad Saadi, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Dr. Muhammad Kashif, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Dr. Muhammad Kafeel, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, all praised the faculty and staff for their efforts in organizing this enriching experience for the students.

The boot camp concluded with the distribution of certificates among the participants, marking their achievements and the knowledge they gained during the event. This initiative not only aimed to bolster the practical skills of the students but also to inspire them to explore innovative solutions in their future academic and professional endeavors.
