University Leaders Advocate for AI Education and Research Collaboration

GWADAR: The Vice Chancellors of the University of Gwadar and the University of Turbat convened to discuss the future of higher education in the region, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence and modern technology into educational curricula. The meeting, held at the University of Turbat on October 3, 2025, aimed to address the challenges facing the sector and explore avenues for collaboration.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir of the University of Gwadar and Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan of the University of Turbat emphasized the need for curriculum innovation and quality research to equip students with digital skills. They highlighted the importance of these initiatives in fostering socio-economic development in the province and the country.

A key outcome of the meeting was the agreement to grant University of Gwadar students access to the laboratories at the University of Turbat for practical science training. This collaboration is expected to enhance the educational experience and research capabilities of students from both institutions.

The universities also committed to strengthening cooperation in research, training, and academic activities, with a focus on publishing scholarly work. The exchange of ideas and resources is seen as a vital step towards improving the overall quality of education provided.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir presented his authored books to the libraries of the University of Turbat, symbolizing a gesture of goodwill and academic exchange.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both universities, including UoT’s Registrar Ganguzar Baloch and Director of Public Relations Ijaz Ahmed, as well as principal staff officers from both institutions.
