Lahore: Defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are set to face off tonight at Gaddafi Stadium in a critical Eliminator 2 match of the HBL PSL X. The winner will secure the remaining spot in the final against Quetta Gladiators, scheduled for Sunday evening.

Islamabad United, who ended the league stage in second place with six victories out of ten matches, are coming off a 30-run defeat against the Gladiators in the Qualifier. Despite the setback, they remain focused on achieving a historic fourth title in the league’s history.

Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, finished fourth in the standings and advanced to this stage by eliminating Karachi Kings in Eliminator 1. The team is buoyed by its past successes at the Gaddafi Stadium, where they claimed titles in 2022 and 2023 and now aim for a third triumph on home soil.
