1st Jansher Khan PSA Squash Tournament Unveils Emerging Talent

Islamabad: The 1st Jansher Khan PSA Satellite Squash Tournament, organized by the Pakistan Squash Federation, is currently underway at the Mushaf Squash Complex. Sponsored by the Markhor Squash Foundation and presented by Sybrid Pvt Ltd, the event features a prize money of $1,000 and aims to support low-ranking Pakistani players. The tournament, which includes a draw of 32 players, has progressed to the quarterfinals after today’s second-round matches.

In today’s matches, Saeed Abdul defeated Naveed Rehman with scores of 11-7, 11-7, 11-1. Huraira Khan secured a win against Danish Khan, scoring 11-5, 11-3, 11-2. Abdul Basit Khan advanced to the next round with a walkover against Varun Asif. Muhammad Ammad triumphed over Israr Ahmad, winning 11-6, 13-11, 11-7.

Anas Ali Shah Bukhari outplayed Muhammad Ahmed with scores of 11-5, 11-2, 11-6. Sadam Ul Haq dominated Abdullah Nadeem Butt, posting an 11-3, 11-1, 11-0 victory. Khaqan Malik overcame Abdul Qadir with scores of 9-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3. Lastly, Abdullah Nawaz edged out Anas Khan, finishing 9-11, 11-6, 11-9, 12-10.

The tournament’s quarterfinals are scheduled for tomorrow, promising another day of competitive squash at the Mushaf Squash Complex.
